What the hell are you thinking...?!!
On 20th January 2009 America will officially have a new president, Barack Hussein Obama. Just reviewing how he and his ‘change’ are going to affect us……
The first thing that scares us is his opposition to outsourcing of American jobs to foreign countries. Among the countries which will be hit by this is our own, and is a thing to worry about especially for us ‘techies’….or is it??!!….
Firstly…as we know politicians, a lot is said and hyped during their campaign, but after winning the elections they’ll have to confront reality, so it is still a question as to whether his opposition to outsourcing will even hold after he stands President and how far he will go to implement it…Secondly…after all, what can he actually do to reduce/stop outsourcing, he surely cant tell all the US companies to simply reduce/stop it, America is a free democratic country and industries will surely have their freedom to do so. All he can do is increase tax on the companies which ship away ‘American jobs’ but the companies will probably still find it cheaper to get their work done in countries like India even with the extra tax that needs to be paid, experts say taxing has very little to do with offshoring anyways…so hopefully Mr. New President isn’t a big worry for us…
Anyways may be I’m still a student to be talking about all that…so putting all that aside…
Is it only me who notices the striking similarities between Barack Obama and Lewis Hamilton….i mean…they look similar (with respect to outline of face, hairstyle, shape of ear), both have a similar broad smile(not shown in the above pic by Hamilton), both born to a black father and a white mother, both successful at a young age in their respective fields, Obama becomes the president and Hamilton becomes champion around the same time….hmmm…
